How can businesses be fair, clean and beneficial to all stakeholders and the society?

To give merit to ethics and ethical behavior in business processes, practices and principles can make sense. However, the thin line in a commercial sense of what is right and what is wrong in the organizations requires the integration of an ethical corporate culture that takes over when everything else fails.

India's largest business conglomerates The Tata group was on the verge of a major decline at the beginning of 1990's. However, the company, primarily due to its strong ethical culture and values stayed on track and turned the tables in desperate circumstances. The group went from to less than 10 busd company at the time to its current market cap of 130 busd and rising.

At the Ethics and Integrity workshop on the 22nd March 2016 at The (Tata-owned) Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, we will explore some of the details, motives and explanations on the Why and the How companies can embed a sustainable corporate culture with the primary focus on ethics and integrity components and issues.

Good corporate governance and social responsibility initiatives
When the law fails or is inadequate, it is the ethics that may stop organizations from harming the stakeholder, society or environment. Implementing responsibleethicsandintegrity efforts are primarily the responsibility of the board of directors. The tone-at-the-top must be aligned with the managements and the stakeholder expectations and must be relevant throughout the organisation and must cover all employees.

During the workshop, we review the mechanisms of ?People governance? and the implementation of ethical principles and attitudes that lead to the integration of people related questions in all stages of the decision-making process. Thereby the participants can act coherently and strengthen all the human dimensions connected to the internal and external activities of the company when they return to their respective departments.

Ethics and values are profitable in the long run
We will develop a framework (The Ethical Compass) for ethical decision making that allows them to protect both company and client interests and safeguard the company?s reputation.

The practical component of the workshop is designed to put the participants in situations in a role play, so they can learn exactly how ethics can play an often subtle role in everyday business decisions. http://copenhagencharter.com/practices.html

Moral values are respected in the society
The interactive discussions of real-world case studies will bring to life the various shades of solving ethical and integrity dilemmas for a variety of situations to understand how ethics and integrity violations may differ in countries, divisions, or from the decision of colleagues.

At the workshop, we will provide the real-life examples and scenarios that make ethics and integrity programs understandable;
  • Participants will recognise, interpret and respond to questionable conduct.
  • Clear on ethical grey areas in business practice and identify the meta of possible mistakes.
  • Determine the consequences of the cultural component of ethics and integrity
  • Uniform customer relationships, trust and confidence with all stakeholders.
  • Optimise the risk of regulatory or reputational compliance.
  • Story-telling on how to streamline current processes and find gaps in code-of-conduct.
  • Four sections with built-in Q&A sessions with online surveys to get the maximal amount of feedback on a large number of appropriate, current and valid questions relating to organic growth, corporate revenues and market capitalisation.

Dishonest profit distresses corporate energy
We take a top-down approach so that the company as a human and social unit can reap the benefits from the focus on ethics and integrity. It is possible for the organisation to concentrate on long-term gains and at the same time securing the society, environment by implementing social governance throughout the organisation.

To be fair, honest and ethical is one the fundamental human needs. Therefore, businesses that are reasonable, clean and beneficial to all stakeholders and the society will attract good employees. The result can align behaviors that speed up the achievement of values, goal or mission by being fair and ethical to foster trust and credibility and ultimately improves the bottom line. http://www.copenhagencompliance.com/mailer/mumbai2016/mailer.htm .
